Mr. Atthaporn Nuang-udom, the Director of Krabi International Airport, Mr. Watchai Vilailuck, President and Executive Director of Samart Corporation Plc., and Mr. Sumech Patel, the President of Cita Asia Pacific, led a press tour to Krabi International Airport to demonstrate the latest Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS).
The new system is to enhance the airport’s working efficiency and improve its check-in counter and boarding gates (Assign Gates) management.
The system consists of a boarding pass processing system (CUPPS), self-check-in system (CUSS), boarding pass registration counter system, Counter Check-in and Boarding Gate system, and Flight Information Display System (FIDS).
The airport aims to use the new system to enhance its service provision to meet world-class standards. Not only does the system offer more convenient service to passengers, it also improves the airline’s operations. As the CUPPS was designed based on common use basis, all airlines can log-in to access their own system easily from any CUPPS work-stations.
With the new system, the airline can also add more service counters immediately to reduce waiting time for passengers to check-in. Cost saving on managing IT infrastructure in terms of both hardware and software is distinguished while high level of information security system is also included around the clock.
The new system will help increase Krabi International Airport’s efficiency and uplift the regional airport to reach world-class standards. The move not only drives Thailand a center of tourism and transportation, but also promote local investment and leverage the quality of life of people in the region in accordance with the government policy to develop the country towards stability, prosperity and sustainability.
