Samart Corporation Plc, a fully integrated technology solution provider, launched the latest project called “Samart Innovation Funds” to offer local senior university students scholarships for their technology development projects.

Samart Innovation Funds is a consequence of the 17-year-long Samart Innovation Award which was initiated to offer young technology developers opportunities to become technology entrepreneurs through a contest.
The new project is to fund senior university students who have outstanding technology development projects in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Internet of Things (IoT) at Bt10,000 scholarship per project.

Mr. Charoenrath said the scholarship will open educational opportunities to senior university students as they can use the fund to conduct further research and development on their project and continue their studying. The company hopes that the scholarship will help prepare themselves to become a good thinker and professional developers in the future.
“The development of human resource capabilities is a foundation for the country’s sustainable development and this is also a key mission of Samart Innovation Award,” Mr. Charoenrath said.
In addition to scholarship granting, the company also focuses on skill and knowledge development both in technology and business side to inspire young technology developers to do business and become professional technology entrepreneurs.
Earlier this year, the company organized two classes; Technology Trend: Technologies to Revolutionize the Way of Life and Work; and How to be Professional; for students at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB).
Due to the outbreaks of Covid-19, the classes were halted. The company will however continue the mission on skill and knowledge development under its mission to be a part in leveraging Thai society to become a sustainable learning society.
