SAMART Reports Strong First-Half 2026 Performance, with Net Profit Up 30% to THB 280 Million; Advances New Growth Engines to Expand Customer Base and Drive Long-Term Growth

Bangkok – Samart Corporation Public Company Limited (SAMART) reported solid operating results for the first half of 2026, with total revenue reaching THB 5,679 million, up 7% year-on-year, while net profit rose 30% to THB 280 million. In the second quarter alone, total revenue increased 18% year-on-year to THB 2,838 million, with net profit reaching THB 141 million. The performance reflects continued growth across its core businesses, supported by the progressive recognition of revenue from ongoing projects.

SAMART currently has a total backlog of THB 14,889 million and is preparing to participate in new project tenders worth more than THB 10 billion, with a target to increase year-end backlog to THB 20 billion. At the same time, the Group is expanding its business opportunities through new growth engines in AI, Green Energy and Enterprise Business, creating new sources of revenue to support long-term growth.

Digital ICT Solutions – SAMTEL Continues to Secure New Projects and Strengthen Its Revenue Base
The Digital ICT Solutions business, operated through Samart Telcoms Public Company Limited (SAMTEL), remained a key business of the Group. During the second quarter, SAMTEL secured several new projects, including a project to enhance and improve the efficiency of enterprise resource planning and management information systems from Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), as well as an electronic surveying system development project for the Department of Lands.
The newly signed projects had a combined value of THB 2,358 million, bringing SAMTEL’s backlog to THB 7,997 million at the end of the second quarter.
Going forward, SAMTEL will continue to focus on Digital Transformation and enterprise IT solutions, while leveraging its expertise in government systems and developing new solutions, including AI, Cybersecurity, ERP and Cloud, to enhance its service capabilities and expand into new customer segments.

Utilities & Transportation – Revenue Recognition from Construction Projects and Aviation Business
The Utilities & Transportation business had a backlog of THB 6,738 million at the end of the second quarter. Growth was supported by the construction of integrated transmission line and high-voltage substation projects under Teda Company Limited (TEDA), as well as projects aimed at enhancing excise tax collection efficiency.
In the aviation business, Samart Aviation Solutions Public Company Limited (SAV) continued to manage air traffic services. Although flight volumes in the second quarter were affected by geopolitical developments at certain points, the outlook is expected to improve as conflicts in several areas ease, alongside continued growth in air traffic.
In particular, overflight traffic from Vietnam increased 24% year-on-year, supporting the continued growth of SAV’s aviation business.

Digital Communications – Revenue Growth Driven by Digital Trunked Radio System Project
The Digital Communications business, operated through Samart Digital Public Company Limited (SDC), recorded higher second-quarter revenue, driven by revenue recognition and equipment installation under the Digital Trunked Radio System (DTRS) project for the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
SDC had a backlog of THB 154 million at the end of the second quarter.
Nearly THB 15 Billion in Backlog; New Project Bids to Support Continued Growth

SAMART currently has a total backlog of THB 14,889 million, providing a strong base of future revenue to be progressively recognized. The Group continues to pursue new business opportunities and is preparing to bid for new projects with a combined value of more than THB 10 billion.

The projects cover a broad range of areas, including Digital ICT, communications and infrastructure systems, security systems, and energy management solutions. These opportunities are expected to strengthen the Group’s ability to secure new projects and build a more robust backlog over the long term.
SAMART has set a target to increase its backlog to more than THB 20 billion by the end of 2026, supporting business expansion and providing a continued stream of future revenue.
SAMART Advances New Growth Engines in Future-Oriented Businesses
In addition to driving its core businesses, SAMART is advancing its New Growth Engine strategy to create new business opportunities and revenue streams, focusing on businesses aligned with major megatrends and the rapid evolution of technology.

  • AI Government – Applying AI capabilities to existing solutions to improve operational efficiency and enhance public-sector services.
  • Green Energy – Developing clean energy solutions, including solar power and inverter systems, battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle charging systems, and smart energy management solutions.
  • Enterprise Business – Expanding its customer base beyond the public sector into private-sector and enterprise customers by leveraging its expertise in AI, Cybersecurity, ERP and Cloud solutions.
  • Future Technology – Exploring emerging technologies such as Humanoid Robotics and Automation to identify new business opportunities and growth potential for the future.
