Mr. Kobchai Sungsitthisawad, the Permanent Secretary of the Industry Ministry (second from right) and Mr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, the Director-General of the Industrial Promotion Department (first from right) presided over a funding ceremony granted to new-generation entrepreneurs who have creative ideas on innovation and technology development in the Angel Fund 2021 project organized by the Department of Industrial Promotion, the Ministry of Industry.

Mr.Charoenrath Vilailuck, the Executive Chairman of Samart Corporation Plc (first from left), as a sponsor of the Angle Fund 2021, granted Bt580,000 to 21 teams which their outstanding works offer value and benefits to the society and the environment. Samart was also the project’s consultant and provided knowledge related to technology, business and marketing to the project’s finalists.

The 21 teams presented their technological works to the judges and three finalists were selected under rigorous criteria. Most of the works were related to health technology, which now is the trend of innovation development.

The first-prize winner went to Mutha Team from the development of Carbon-Fiber Prosthetic Leg using premium-grade materials to offer durable and comfortable walking and running.

The development of On-Bed Movement Monitor and Alarm System by NEF Team was awarded the second prize. The development uses IoT and AI technology to alert patients lying on the bed or caregivers to change the patient’s posture to reduce pressure ulcers that may occur. The system will help improve the patients’ quality of life.

IQMED Innovation team was awarded the third prize from the development of Kidney in a Box using technology to help prolong the kidney’s life to be delivered on time.
