Samart Telcoms Group has been honored for its strong commitment to environmental sustainability through its participation in the “Throw to Trash” initiative. This collaborative platform promotes proper waste segregation and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the corporate sector.

(pictured far left), representing Samart Telcoms Group. The award acknowledges the group’s leading role in driving environmental stewardship through the initiative.

“Throw To Trash” is a joint program developed by the Thai Listed Companies Association and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to raise awareness and encourage listed companies to adopt sustainable waste management practices. The program aims to cultivate a corporate culture centered on sustainability, emphasizing proper waste segregation as a foundational step toward reducing carbon emissions.

Outcome: Sustained Reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions

In 2024, Samart Telcoms Group reported an 8.70 percent decrease in both direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2003. The company further achieved a reduction of over 32,362 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent (kgCO₂e) through multiple resource conservation efforts, including:

• Office Waste Management: Cutting waste by 6,013 kilograms, equivalent to a reduction of 8,171 kgCO₂e.
• Paper Sorting and Recycling: Recycling more than 16,083 kilograms of old documents, leading to a reduction of 21,855 kgCO₂e.
• “Samart Loves the Earth” Campaign: Mobilizing executives and employees to segregate waste, promote reuse, and donate to underprivileged communities. This campaign also supports proper waste handling to reduce pollution and generate clean energy, contributing an emissions reduction of 1,378.33 kgCO₂e.
